Our Steel Building Fabrication Process
1. Submit the Project Information
Send the current drawings, specifications, quantities, project address, requested completion date and description of the work you want included.
2. Drawing and Scope Review
We review the documents to identify the structural members, connection components, materials, welding requirements, finishes, delivery needs and requested field services.
3. Questions and Clarifications
Missing dimensions, conflicting details, unclear connections and drawing revisions must be resolved before material is ordered or fabrication begins.
4. Pricing and Scope Approval
Pricing is prepared according to the confirmed materials, fabrication, welding, finishing, delivery, erection, installation and equipment requirements.
5. Material Procurement
Beams, tubing, pipe, channel, angle, plate, sheet and other specified steel materials are ordered for the approved project.
6. Cutting, Layout and Fit-Up
Structural members and connection components are cut, drilled, coped, prepared, laid out and fitted according to the approved drawings.
7. Welding and Assembly
Components are welded and assembled according to the specified weld details and project requirements. AWS D1.1-certified welding capability is available for applicable structural-steel projects.
8. Finishing and Identification
Completed steel may be supplied raw, cleaned, shop primed, painted or prepared for another specified coating. Members can be marked and organized for pickup, delivery or installation.
9. Delivery or Installation
Completed steel is scheduled for customer pickup or quoted with delivery, unloading, field fit-up, welding, bolting, erection or installation.
