From our Georgetown fabrication shop, we build mono-stringer stairs, double-stringer stairs, floating-style staircases, landings, tread supports and job-specific steel stair assemblies from approved drawings and verified project dimensions.
Georgetown Fabrication Shop • 25 Years of Industry Experience • AWS D1.1-Certified Welding Capability • Custom Stair and Railing Fabrication • Installation Available by Scope
A custom steel staircase must fit the available space, support the intended loads and maintain consistent geometry from the first step to the finished floor.
Precision Fabshop works with homeowners, builders, general contractors, designers, architects and project teams that need steel stairs fabricated around approved plans and actual project conditions.
We focus on accurate stair layout, dependable structural connections, consistent tread support, proper mounting locations and practical installation planning. Every staircase is reviewed according to its floor-to-floor height, available run, width, landings, stringer configuration, tread material, railing system, finish and installation requirements.

The final stringer type, material size, connection details and support requirements must follow the approved design and project drawings.
All components are fabricated according to the approved dimensions, material specifications, connection details, weld requirements and finish.

The stair structure and final tread material must be planned together. Tread thickness, attachment points, overhangs, clearances and finished elevations affect the steel support layout.
Wood, stone, glass, concrete and other finish materials may be provided by another contractor unless specifically included in our proposal.
The final tread dimensions and attachment requirements should be confirmed before the stair steel is released for fabrication.

Precision Fabshop can coordinate the stair structure with a matching handrail or guardrail system. Planning the stair and railing together helps establish post locations, mounting plates, transitions, attachment details and finished elevations.
Cable, glass, specialty hardware and finish materials are included only when identified in the proposal.
The project documents should identify:
Precision Fabshop fabricates according to approved drawings and defined project requirements. We do not assume structural loads, connection designs, code classifications or required stair geometry that are not identified in the project information.
When engineering or sealed drawings are required, we can coordinate with a third-party licensed engineer. Engineering is not represented as an in-house service.
Permitting, code review, engineering approval and final inspection are handled by the responsible owner, contractor or design professional unless specifically included in our scope.

Steel stair systems can be fabricated from HSS tubing, structural channel, plate, angle, flat bar, steel tread pans and other materials specified in the project drawings.
Available finish options may include:
Interior and exterior stair systems may require different surface preparation, coatings and maintenance expectations. Finish requirements should be identified before pricing because coatings can affect fabrication, handling, transportation, installation and production time.
Final colors, gloss levels, textures and specialty coating requirements should be selected before the staircase enters finishing.
Send drawings, photographs, measurements, stair configuration, tread preference, railing selection, project location, finish requirements and requested schedule.
We identify the stair layout, stringer configuration, components, materials, tread-support system, connections, finish and requested installation services.
Final dimensions are confirmed using approved drawings, verified field measurements or both. The supporting construction must be sufficiently complete and accessible before final measurements are taken.
Missing structural requirements, unclear connections, stair geometry and engineering requirements must be resolved before material is ordered or fabrication begins.
The proposal identifies the fabrication, materials, finish, delivery, installation, railings, treads and specialty components included in the quoted work.
Steel components are cut, prepared, laid out, fitted, welded and assembled according to the approved drawings and dimensions.
The stair system is cleaned and prepared for the selected primer, paint, galvanizing, powder coating or other specified finish.
When included, the stair components are delivered, positioned, aligned and attached using the approved connections and mounting methods.
Installation may include field welding, bolting, anchoring, alignment, finish touch-up and other adjustments identified in the proposal.
Providing complete project information helps us understand the stair layout and prepare accurate pricing. Send the following whenever available:
Rough measurements and photographs may be sufficient for an initial budget discussion. Final fabrication requires approved drawings, verified dimensions and clearly defined connection requirements.

Yes. We fabricate mono-stringer, double-stringer and other custom steel stair configurations from approved drawings and verified project dimensions.
We fabricate floating-style and open-riser steel stair systems. These stairs still require properly designed structural supports, connections and anchoring.
We can help organize the fabrication scope and coordinate with a third-party licensed engineer when required. Engineering is not represented as an in-house service.
Yes, provided the drawings contain the dimensions, structural requirements, connections, materials and other information required for fabrication.
Wood treads and other finish materials can be coordinated depending on the project. The proposal will identify whether Precision Fabshop or another contractor is supplying and installing them.
Yes. We fabricate steel handrails, guardrails, cable-railing frames and glass-railing support systems for appropriate stair projects.
Yes. Delivery, equipment, field fit-up, anchoring, welding and installation can be quoted according to the project location and scope.
Yes. We fabricate exterior stairs for appropriate residential, commercial, shop, mezzanine and property-access applications based on approved drawings.
Pricing depends on the stair configuration, floor-to-floor height, material sizes, tread plan, landings, railing system, finish, engineering, delivery and installation requirements. Complete project information is needed for an accurate quote.
Production time depends on drawing approval, engineering, material availability, stair complexity, finish, installation requirements and the current shop schedule.
